"First thing out of the box, love the color. Its sturdy and durable. I was a little intimidated at first but I dove right into the easy set up. I saw the stitch sample and it went from 1/4" to 3/4" and my eyes popped out because thats incredible thickness to go through. I love how its manual and the 2 hand placements you can choose from the wheel. My first project was a purse for my sisters birthday and she loved it. I love this piece. Highly recommend to a beginner for learning and feeling and if you want to go through some thick leather."

"My Cub arrived yesterday in good order. It was shipped in sturdy packaging and arrived at my remote/rural location within a week of placing my order. Right out of the box I was able to lay down flawless stitch lines on the stack of test leather shipped with the machine. I very much look forward to bringing this machine to bear on planned knife sheath and holster projects. The stitch lines are pretty enough for belts as well. On the test stitch lines I performed the machine sewed effortlessly, and build quality and quality of materials was quickly evident. This machine is worthy of passing down to my heirs."

"It arrived promptly, well-packaged and with all the advertised accessories. I'm giving it four stars for the time being because I haven't used it on a project yet. However, I've been extremely pleased at the quality of the stitching on some test strips. The first few tries with the white thread were disappointing because they looked "dirty. " I figured out the machine had been over-lubricated. After a little wipe-down, the stitches were pristine. It does a great job on 7-9 oz. stacked veg-tan. My only concerned now is how well it will perform on 5-6 oz. leather. Some reviews have said it'll perform adequately down to 3 oz. , but that it's not recommended for that light of weight."

Perform beautifully right out of
"Perform beautifully right out of the box. I just have to educate my self on using it properly. It is a heavy well-made machine and John covered just about everything I had to know but now I have to work on my muscle memory and using it. It seems to like thicker Leather rather than a thinner. The only thing I could recommend for this sewing machine is a light somehow incorporated on it other then a light it a great well made heavy duty sewing machine. The folks at the store were great to deal with and John was very knowledgeable and a great instructor. I am very happy with this purchase and I would recommend this machine to anyone that’s looking for a good American made sewing machine. Thanks again for all the help John Montini."
