Fiebing’s Deglazer JUST WORKS.
I've tried oxalic acid and other methods, and I've found that this deglazer works better than anything else I've tried. The smell is a bit strong and I like to use it outdoors when I can.

- Prepares all types of leather for dyes and finishes
- A strong finish stripper, this deglazer removes pigmented finishes and most top coats
- Prepares leather for refinishing
- Contains natural oils that restore original softness and texture of leather
- Apply with coarse cloth and repeat until old finish is removed
- Allow to dry before refinishing
- Test deglazer on a small, inconspicuous area before applying to entire item
