Exceptional quality and comfort
I generally don't like to buy twice, but do own the 16 and 24 oz. mauls. The quality is outstanding. Cheaper can be had, lots of chinese knock-offs out there but the striking surface on those mauls is a softer plastic that gets chewed up quickly, looks like a dog got a hold of it, and then the strikes are not consistent. I use the 24 primary for stamping with larger stamps or ones where it is critical to get the full impression with one blow. The 16 I use for pretty much everything else. Well made. The leather handle also does absorb vibration, which increases hand comfort after several hours of use. My kids will inherit these mauls They will last a very long time for sure. Not sure you need all four, the 16 and 24 oz mauls are good choices for the (mostly fine detail) work that I do.
