With a nice, firm feel that gives bags and other leather crafting projects just the right body, this water buffalo leather has a top coat for an attractive, subtle sheen. Our team works closely with the tannery to transform water buffalo hides into one of our best-selling leathers with the right combination of a quality chrome tannage, a buffed grain, and a top coat that works well for a wide range of projects.
Difference
The time involved and expense of veg tanned leathers led to the development of chrome tanning in the mid-1800s. Chrome tanning takes about one to three days in contrast to the one to three-month veg tanning process, making it a more economical choice. Today, about 80-90% of the world’s leather supply is chrome tanned and it is heralded for its stain and water resistance as well as its consistency in color.

Built in weaverleathersupply clicker and burnisher. These two tools probably get used more than any other in the leather shop so they deserve a little flavor. Sinking the clicker down to the level of the bench helps with handling larger leather pieces. The burnisher was reworked so the motor can live under the bench and out of the way.
